Hub & Spoke Kicks Off Independence Day Community-Building Campaign

July 1, 2022

July 4, Independence Day in the United States, means something extra-special for the producers who belong to the Hub & Spoke audio collective. We’re all independent by definition—that’s why Hub & Spoke exists—and the holiday gives us a chance to reflect on how grateful we are for the freedom to make the shows we want to make, the way we want to make them.

Now that Hub & Spoke is evolving into a real non-profit with fundraising operations to support our vision for independent podcasting, we thought it was time to go to the next level and adopt the Fourth of July as our own official holiday! This year we’re using it to explain what independence means to us and ask you to join our cause by sharing your name and contact information.

At hubspokeaudio.org/july4 you’ll find Independence-themed thoughts from all of the shows in the collective, and a form where you can become an “original signer of the Hub & Spoke Declaration of Independence.” If you add your name before July 29, you’ll be entered to win an awesome Hub & Spoke swag bag that includes a Lonely Palette water bottle, a Rumble Strip t-shirt, and a Soonish coffee mug. We’ll use the information to keep you informed about our future activities. Thanks!
